What have I been up to.....

Wow, I have not been on here for awhile and I have some new things to share and thought I would add them.
this is a little teacup decoration I made.  I am into frozen Charlotte dolls lately.
Here is an image I painted.  She was inspired by Kate Thompson. Love her work.

Here is an image of the full piece together.  I love the shadow box in the canvas, I like to incorporate antique goodness into my work.  Oops another frozen Charlotte. LOL
This is a little darling set of friends created out of Juliette Cranes class Serendipity..  This is a year long course.
My mixed media is expanding into jewelry.  I love this ring and I get so many compliments on it.  Really a fun piece.

This is another shadow box piece that I created for my daughter who wanted a beach scene.  I have added an antique shell purse, bottle and small bisque mermaid.  There are hidden fish in the piece in the mermaids hair that flows into water.  I did image transfers for the little fish.

This is an old broken clock that I have added 2 dolls that don't have bodies.  I used industrial spools for their bodies. Once again there is a frozen Charlotte added for good measure.
A whimsical piece created from the December class of serendipity with Juliette Crane.

My mixed media and scrapbook room.  All the goodies that inspire me!!
I was trying to make a girl in a rose here.  I don't particularly like it because it is too bordered out.  I don't like the edges of the flower and the clean edges around her face.  I may make changes to it, but for now it is sitting.  I would love suggestions.

This is a picture I did in a class online with Jeanne Oliver.  I love the vintage feel.  The girl was much easier for me to do because the face was small. LOL  I used some Websters natural paper line to do much of the decorating around the side.  This is a first for me to have pencil as an accent on a canvas.  I had always considered it as something you don't want to show, but I love how the artists use it.

This is my Halloween picture inspired by Christy Tomlinson.  It has about every medium possible on  it.  I have changed it since this picture and I used shiva oilstiicks in black to calm the background down..  I will try to find a pic or take one  and post it.
This is a painting that I did in How to paint an owl class with Juilette Crane.  It resembles her work very much, I thank her for the class.  The picture was very hard for me to do and I need to paint many more before I begin to feel comfortable.

I was very fortunate in April 2013 to get to travel to California to take a class with Christy Tomlinson!  She is an amazing woman.  I have taken many of her online classes and she is even more wonderful in person.  I am posting the two pictures on canvas that I made at her workshop.  She was really nice and helped everyone with there pieces.  It took place at studio Cresendo.
